Our goal is to ensure all children and youth in our community have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through sports.
At the OSEG Foundation, we believe that by sharing our passion for sports through structured youth development programs, kids will have an opportunity to excel and reach their full potential.
Together, with our coaches and players from the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Ottawa 67s – the OSEG Foundation will develop programs and initiatives that get more kids off the sidelines and into the game.
Mission: The OSEG Foundation will be a catalyst for social change by leveraging the power of sport to improve the lives of children and youth.

Girls on the Run Ottawa
The OSEG Foundation is proud to announce that it is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International and the first charitable Foundation in Canada to bring the Girls on the Run program to its local community. In alignment with the OSEG Foundation’s mission, Girls on the Run is committed to the development of important life skills through participation in sport, augmented by an evidence-based curriculum that helps girls manage emotions, resolve conflicts and make good decisions. Girls on the Run is a physical activity, positive youth development-based program that creatively integrates running and serves girls between grades 3-8.
In the fall of 2021, the OSEG Foundation will hold the Girls on the Run Ottawa program at the following locations:

St. Mark High School – All-Girls Tackle Football
History was made on April 29th, 2019 as the OSEG Foundation welcomed the St. Mark High School all-girls tackle football team to play on the field at TD Place as a Canadian first! These girls have made a statement that girls can tackle anything and sport for all is part of our community.
The OSEG Foundation was honoured to host the players, coaches, staff, and fans for a great afternoon of football to support their progress on a beautiful Spring Day!
What a tremendous achievement locally, regionally, and nationally to inspire youth to pursue sport equally because at St. Mark, these girls ask, “WHY NOT US?”
The OSEG Foundation is proud to work with hundreds of community volunteers, donors and business leaders to help raise funds and awareness for our Mission to make Ottawa more inclusive through sport. In 2019, we held the Women’s Training Camp in late July and our Gourmet on the Gridiron dinner on the field at TD Place. We are incredibly proud to collaborate on this initiative:
The first-ever was such a huge success. Thank you!
Our gratitude to 350+ participants, sponsors, and volunteers
Thank you to our 350+ participants, sponsors, and volunteers for helping to make the 2018 REDBLACKS Women’s Training Camp Presented by St. Laurent such a huge success!
Together, we raised more than $105,000 for the OSEG Foundation. Those funds will be directed to programming that engages girls in sport and gives them an opportunity to learn from positive role models.
